Ross is an international expert in meaningful work who passionately believes that work can be awesome for everyone. With a warm, sympatisch, and playful style, Ross has helped people find meaning in their work for over 20 years. He founded Rise, Australia’s first meaningful work consulting firm, 10 years ago to help organisations “lead with meaning”. From his academic research and his practical experience, he has developed simple, easy-to-use diagnostic tools, frameworks, and programs to help make work more meaningful for everyone. In his latest research project, he interviewed hundreds of ordinary people around the world about how Covid has changed our relationship with work (spoiler alert: we want work to be more meaningful). The interviews and findings from this project were the topic for his recent “Work after Covid” radio series on FM4. Ross is also the host of the “The meaning of work” podcast. Originally from Scotland (don’t worry – he speaks English very clearly!), he has spent the last 17 years in Sydney, Australia, and now calls Vienna home.
How can I help to make work meaningful for my team?
Covid has given us a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make work better for everyone. It gave us all a chance to reflect and we are all more connected to what we want and what we don’t want from our work. Research shows that we ALL (including the people in your team!) want our work to be meaningful…so, let’s make it happen!
In this workshop, you’ll learn:
- The science of what makes work meaningful and why it’s so important
- A simple and powerful framework for understanding meaningful work
- A toolkit for starting the conversation about meaningful work with your team
This workshop will be extremely interactive, practical, and fun!
